Statement of Significance (as of July 5, 1997):
When Pontchartrain Lanes closed in 1994, Bowling USA became the only bowling center in Slidell. Consequently, despite high prices and unpredictable lane conditions, I did a lot of open bowling at Bowling USA. Even when Pontchartrain Lanes was open, I would still occasionally go to Bowling USA because I liked the change of environment. The lanes rarely yielded high scores and it was always a challenge to have a decent game every time I went. Additionally, the arcade provided memories in that I would often play a video game after bowling.
