Statement of Significance (as of June 19, 1999):
In August 1994, I joined the work force by getting a full-time job at the Schwegmann in Slidell. In front of Schwegmann was a Burger King that was built across from a McDonald's. Knowing that I didn't want to have McDonald's all the time during my lunch break, and also noting that the flame-broiled burgers would probably be better for me than the fried ones at McDonald's, I went mostly to Burger King when I first started working. It became a routine for me to go to Burger King during lunch; so much so that one of the B.K. workers knew exactly what my order usually was! That routine eventually led to the addiction I now have to Burger King's flame-broiled burgers.
