Trying to visit all "Columbia" cities
Why have I been to so many cities named Columbia or a variation of it? Well, when I lived in Slidell, before I started venturing off outside of the states along the Gulf, I had already been to 3 Columbias. There's one in Louisiana, which I saw when I was on my mission of seeing all La. cities. There's also a Columbia, MS near the Louisiana-Mississippi border north of Bogalusa, which was near Slidell. Also, when I visited SC for my summer vacation in '97, I stayed in, you guessed it, Columbia. While looking through my atlas, I saw how many more states had cities named Columbia. It's not the most common city name in the country (that would be Union), but it must be very close.I still have many more Columbias to go to before I can say I've been to all the Columbias in the country, but I have plenty of time.
