The Spice Girls' 2nd single was a major impact on my life. I wouldn't go so far as to say it changed my life, but what it did was introduce me to a so-called "fabricated" pop group that became the greatest singing group as far as I'm concerned.

"Say you'll be there" is exactly what a pop song should be: singable, fun, and most importantly, extremely enjoyable. When the song comes on, I have a subconscious habit of smiling, and that smile stays for as long as the song goes. The resonating point for me is the end, when Melanie C (a.k.a. Sporty Spice) ad-libs and shows off just how good of a voice hers is, backed up by the different vocal stylings of the other 4 girls.
